SERVICE: NEBB CERTIFIED TESTING, ADJUSTING, AND BALANCING
BUILDING: World Trade Center Tower 1 (Freedom Tower)
SCOPE: Core and Shell Balancing Hydronic Systems
One World Trade Center is the lead building of the new World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan of New York City. The 105-story supertall skyscraper is being constructed in the northwest corner of the 16-acre World Trade Center site, occupying the location where the original 8-story 6 World Trade Center once stood. Airpath performed Hydronic balancing of the all core and shell base building equipment on each floor including terminal and build-up AHU systems. Demonstrations using ultrasonic flow metering were employed to verify the multi-story cooling tower arrays were balanced proportional to the chiller plant condenser supply water input.
