Airpath Testing Services, Inc. is recognized by regional Architects/ Engineers, Building Owners, Major Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors as a premium provider for NEBB Certified HVAC System Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing for new and existing systems.
Formally known as Mazza Environmental Testing Services, our firm has been retained for the independent TAB work over the last 20 years for many of the major construction projects in the New York City / Long Island Regions. Our engineers and technicians are individually qualified by NEBB to supervise and perform the TAB on air and water systems. When HVAC problems are suspected, our firm is called to help the contractor or building owner identify and resolve air and water flow issues.

SPORTS ARENA
UBS Arena at Belmont Park, The Islanders’ 17,113-seat hockey arena is opened November 2021. It is the centerpiece of a $1.3-billion sports-and-entertainment development on the 43-acre parcel of state land adjacent to the Belmont racetrack. The new arena ends the Islanders’ decades-long search for a new home and brings the team back to Long Island full-time, which the team’s ownership has been seeking almost since the day the franchise departed Nassau Coliseum in 2015 for Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Spanning an entire city block, 50 Hudson Yards will be New York City’s fourth largest commercial office tower when completed in 2022. The tower will reset expectations for commercial tenants and set a new standard for the workplace of the future with a working environment flooded with natural light, multiple dedicated lobbies and large amenity-laden sky lobbies. Designed by Foster + Partners, the LEED Gold-designed, 2.9-million-gross-square-foot building will stand over 1,000 feet tall, provide direct access to the No. 7 Subway station, and have entrances on Hudson Park & Boulevard and 10th Avenue, as well as both 33rd and 34th Streets.
The tower will offer large floorplates throughout, private sky lobbies, outdoor terraces, staggering views of the Hudson River and executive valet parking in a private porte-cochère. 50 Hudson Yards will be one of the few buildings on Manhattan’s West Side with the ability to accommodate more than 500 people per floor.

SCOPE: Airside and Hydronic Systems
Construction of the Grand Central Terminal Station Caverns and installation of the track and special track work in the tunnels and GCT Caverns. The Cavern work includes fabrication and construction of the permanent structural concrete lining, interior structures, and fit-out of the cavern spaces. The contract also includes installation of all track, special track work and third rail from south of the south end of the stations, through the GCT Caverns, and through the tunnel portals in Queens. The contract work in Queens Bellmouth includes closure and backfill of the existing open tunnel structures and backfill of the structures and the site. The scope of work includes structural precast fit-out of two 1000-foot existing caverns with 830 precast beams, 844 precast panels, 694 precast walls, and 370 precast platforms.
